Brad Kidd Jr.
2010 National Champion
Shooter Bio

10 Time, All-American shooter, Brad Kidd Jr. started his career at the age of 9. He shot his first round of sporting clays in the summer of 1991 in order to warm up for dove season. After that, Brad could not get enough. Little did he know that this was only the beginning of his long and successful road to the top.

One year into his newly discovered passion, he travelled to Homestead, Virginia to attend his first U.S. Open. Subsequently, at the age of 11, and in an effort to improve his skills, he became the student of the 2 time Olympian, Dan Carlisle. Under Carlisle's tutelage, Brad went on to capture 4 U.S. Open titles, 2 National Championship Main Event titles, and 1 World Championship Main Event title as a junior shooter. Adding to Brad's success before age 16, he finished top 3 at the 1997 Nationals and top 5 at the U.S. Open that year.

After a brief leave of absence from the shooting world, Brad Kidd JR. came back full time in 2007 and with the help of National Champions Anthony Matarese and Cory Kruse, Brad has further honed both his shooting and teaching skills. Since his return he has captured many titles such as the 2009 World Sporting All-Round Champion and more.

As Brad continued to refine his unique skills, it was not until the summer of 2010 while competing in Italy that he decided to reform his mental game which was costing him many wins. Bound and determined, one month later Brad Kidd Jr. had sculpted every segment of his mental game as well as his shooting technique. By October, Brad knew there was only one thing left to do … Win the 2010 National Sporting Clays Championship and that is exactly what he did.
